Check out this intricate piece.
Sterling Persian Dragonscale Bracelet

This piece is not for the faint of heart-weighing in at
a full 1.5 oz, this piece is a stunner to behold.

The Persian Dragonscale bracelet began it's life as
a humble mass of sterling silver wire. This wire was
carefully hand coiled and saw cut into a shimmery
pile of rings that were then interwoven, one at a
time, to form a piece of wearable art.

This bracelet measures 8 inches (20 cm) long from
toggle clasp to bar and over 1/2 inch across. A
feature of this bracelet is the height. It is 1/4 inch
(1/2cm) thick.

Jens Pind Linkage

Jens Pind Linkage (JPL) is a spiral weave that is dependant on the Aspect Ratio of the ring size in order to function. This bracelet is simple yet intricate in the same breath.
Sterling Silver JPL Bracelet
Sterling Silver bracelet in a delicate Jens Pind
Linkage  chainmaille  weave makes a dainty
statement that is perfect for every day wear.

All of our jewelry begins with raw wire that is hand
wrapped around a mandrel then saw cut into tiny
rings. These rings are then interwoven together to
form some amazing jewelry!

This bracelet measures 8” (20cm) end to end and is
held securely by a sterling silver lobster clasp. Just
leave a note to the seller upon checkout and I will be
happy to alter this treasure to fit you.

Mixed Metals

Check out this they wrote a very nice piece on using mixed metals in jewelry applications. There are some beautiful pieces here including one of ours! Click here to see this piece and others like it with mixed metals
With jewelry, I've always liked things to match. If I worked with glass beads,
all the colors had to be similar to each other in some form. When I started to
like working with copper, all the copper had to be the same shade~ there
couldn't be a mixture of bright and antiqued copper. But I've been searching
around Internet forums and discovered that mixed metals are are very
popular.

Here are a few examples of mixed metals I have found on Etsy. I have these
in my favorites list and kinda stare at them every day, like a kid who looks
longingly in a toy store window.
This is a chainmaille bracelet made by MBOI (href="http://www.mboi.etsy.com/">http://www.mboi.etsy.com/) . I love
chainmaille, though I don't have any jewelry that has chainmaille in it. It
reminds me of knights of Arthurian times, who wore chainmaile with their armor.
It is a very epic medium. I love this bracelet because of the contrasts of the
brass and the silvery steel.

How to make jumprings for jewelry

Check out this article I wrote about how we make our jumprings for our chainmaille jewelry.

Byzantine Keychain by My 9 Year Old Son

Proud Daddy, need I say more. He is so exited about making his own url=http://www.chainmaillebymboi.com/index.html]chainmaille[[/url]

Anyway thanks for looking.

Artist's Comments

Now this isn't his first piece, he made a couple 2
and 2 chains before this.
But this one was his design, and started putting it
together as soon as I taught him byzantine. The only parental help was putting
the stone in. So be kind as he is really excited about this and I plan on
linking him in to this post for a ego boost because he tried really hard on the
concept and closures.
